we are at bottom of 330, second from last curve, road closed with fire trucks, Just saw a Rockwell air tanker drop phoschek on the mountain couple hundred yards in front of us. flew about 100 feet right above us,

Yes! Firefighters are making good progress, smoke is thinning out a bit.

Cook Fire does not look that threatening on the AWF cameras. Here is a snapshot from a couple of minutes ago (11:40am).

Air Tankers are over the 330 fire (Cook) with more aircraft enroute... Most don't have far to go as they launch from the San Bernardino Air Tanker base a couple of miles away....

The fire is now 5-6 acres with no immediately structure threats. Highway 330 will be closed in the area, per Unified Command.
