I agree with you Kenai. The mountains do not need more lights.

HIB.. you need to threaten the generator sooner that you'll use it for the power to be back on that much sooner 🤭

What’s up with this big ad that keeps blocking the page? Not appreciating it!

Once again i dragged my feet on setting up the generator, right about 7 hours outage, by not opening the fridge everything stayed at temp. Any longer and i was ready to fire it up. By the look of things i'll certainly get another chance to actually try the setup...

On a different subject. Those that are asking for street lights I take with mixed emotions. We live in the mountains but there is so much light pollution that seeing very many stars is difficult and I am in Sugarloaf. I have adopted a semi Dark Skies approach. Any light that is on for more that 5 min. only shines light down / not up and all the other lights are motion sensor type that goes out if there is no movement. So if they do put in street lighting I hope that it is the kind designed to focus down and not out or up. Just a thought.

Like all of you I really enjoyed our power outage. One thing that always bothers me a little is the lack of information from BVE. Sitting in the proverbial dark and an hour into it you get a text that says there is an outage. Then hours later it comes on and you can never find a real answer to why? I think this was our 4th in a week and a half.

Thanks SCM for that info number. Just called and they thought we had power!!! Hopefully they can fix it fast.

I have to assume they're putting in some lights along that lower Moonridge corridor -I mean it's all new sidewalks and everything. That section has always been very dark…Until you get to the new section and then it's so bright it'll burn your eyes out.

Street lights? They took those out of Fawnskin years ago! They did not just disable them, THEY removed them!

Nice paving project going on on Moonridge Road by the way. Will there be any street lights installed?
