Tho I hope Frontier fiber 's CO here in Baldwin has a 'good' battery backup, mine needs is still going strong 1500VA even though the generator is running.

SCE is a bunch of idiots, where is this " wind" they speak of?

It's not due to winds in the Big Bear Valley so much as gusts 40-50 mph in the high desert, creating a high fire danger. And unfortunately that is our supply line.

Gonna have to get a small modern generator. My dumpster find 2500 watt runs great but its super loud and puts out a lot of exhaust, plus it only runs 2.5 hours on a full tank, about 1/4 gallon. Time for a harbor freight run...

This is due to high winds and fire conditions forecasted in the region. The period of concern is today, June 20th, beginning at 3:00 p.m. through Saturday, June 21st at 3:00 a.m. BVES continues to monitor the conditions and will keep customers informed of any changes. Delays in restoration may occur due to daylight needed for safe inspections, which could delay restoration until June 21st at 9:00 a.m.
