That stretch of highway gets a fair amount of recreational users as well as hurried and distracted drivers.

Tough to drive by needless accidents like those.

Should have a paved shoulder on highway right of way.

Crows and Ravens are some of the smartest bird s on the planet. Super bummer what happened but its all in Gods hands and plans.

I doubt that Jackie and Shadow would have left the eggs unprotected if they were healthy and viable. I believe that they knew the eggs were unable to develop. It's likely that they intentionally left them so that they can prepare the have another clutch. It's still early in the nesting season.

That is such a bummer Where were the eagles when this happened? Why would they leave the nest unattended for so long???

Major bummer! I heard the ravens were around, didn't know they got to the eggs! ☹️

Parrots are smart.

Ravens are opportunistic vicious parasites. They give nothing and take a lot

That was hard to watch... Around 15:30. It seemed strange from the get go. The eggs were left unattended quite a bit in the past few days.

Ravens are smarter than eagles. Next are crows and stellar jays. Falcons and parrots close behind

Wow...no chat about ravens eating the eagle eggs....I put ravens in tick, mosquito, fly realm. What's the new term? Be unalive?
