From what I'm seeing on X, most people are catching it dusky time, around and after sunset... Last summer I could see it from Onyx at about 9pm.....

That solar storm was upgraded to a G5, the strongest in over 20 years. We have seen the Northern Lights in less. Good possibility you'll see it looking in a northerly direction tonight!

Heads up folks. Fire Authority up to same shenanigans again. Issuing letters and social media with letter stating inspections starting 6/15 and fines can be levied with that correction notice without further notice. Whether or not you know the difference from a Spanish Broom vs Sage. They specifically mention Junipers and Manzanita but have found its the 'etc.' they nail you on. How many here have had to yank the Juniper and your recently trimmed up manzanita while 3 doors down the entire front of the property has Junipers lining the street, I have. 🙋‍♂️. And it pisses me off. If my client has to do AND pay a fine........nuff said. Good luck this season folks, hope none of us get fined. Yeah, I believe in the Easter Bunny still 😉. Soapbox out 😁

Another person that worked at KTLA has retired today from KNX radio. Jenifer York worked as a helicopter traffic reporter. She is going into psychology for first responders.

Sam Rubin from KTLA passed away this morning. I am in absolute shock! Great man that I have watched on KTLA since the early 90's. He was 64 years old.
RIP Mr. Rubin.......

That's a toughie, Julie. Iffy. Your best chance would be to drive up near Onyx Summit with a clear shot looking north after 9pm. Last summer we caught a glimpse of it looking north from Onyx and even the top of Snow Summit!

It's only supposed to reach northern California-Nevada, but if you look far enough north, it's very possible.
