grateful20 hour(s) ago A few of you are missing the message completely. It's not a criticism of PSPSs - it's about NOTIFICATIONS that are inaccurate. Notifications that say we're at risk of an outage on Thursday, but instead it happens on Wednesday. Or they announce that a possible outage might happen between 12 noon and 9pm, but they cut the power at 4AM that day.
Remember, folks? Both of those happened very recently and will likely continue to wreak havoc unless (or until) the power companies implement a better strategy.
Yeah, we get it that PSPSs must happen. But come on, power providers, get your estimates up to speed!
Airport Razz21 hour(s) ago Bosun, just having the generator is only half the solution and even then only if you are home at the time. Now to train the doxie squad how to start the darn thing and switch the panel over . Those auto start and switch over systems are great, just don't have 4K to sink into one at the moment. And when I do get home, drag the thing out, hook up what needs to be hooked and lo and behold, its usually for naught as the power pops on just as I get the engine running
⚡WX ALERT⚡21 hour(s) ago bman, ordinarily, they will leave on their own within a day or two. Usually just the queen on the move!
