We are traditionalists..
Roast Turkey (dry brine method this year) bread stuffing Mashed potato (yukon gold) and gravy peas and onions homemade cranberry relish roasted brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze fresh horseradish pumpkin pie pecan pie A smile is a curve that can set a lot of things straight
I am on keto so my contribution will be a keto friendly pumpkin pie and green bean casserole.
Same! But there are lots of keto stuffing recipes. We used some chompies low carb bread. It was not bad. Definitely scratched the itch to have some stuffing on the table.

Anyone have an opinion on store bought Turkey (Butterball etc) vs a free range, no hormone, no antibiotic, no gmo feed? Menu will be Turkey, prime rib, lobster mac and cheese, truffle cheese mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, sausage dressing, and pecan pie. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. When you’re happy you enjoy the music, when you’re sad you understand the lyrics.

Wow for that meal I would like to reserve a seat if you are not at your max! I have used Butterball for so long I don't remember anything else. I have never been disappointed. Buy early. They may be hard to find at this date. If you buy frozen allow more then asked for defrosting time in the fridge. As for range free and other mentioned healthy items, I would not worry if you are having all the other items such as mac n cheese bacon etc. It is one day of the year. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. No matter all that is going on we still have so much to be thankful for. There have been a bunch of taste tests done over the years: organic, natural, frozen, etc.
What is the biggest difference is that a “natural” labeled turkey has not been injected with a salt solution (brine). Turkeys that have the salt solution should not be further treated with salt.
The biggest surprise was that a frozen turkey cooked properly was indistinguishable from fresh.
So it’s more about preference (do you care about hormones and GMO?) budget ($0.99 or $3.99 per lb) and availability..
What I’ve been doing lately is to cook two or three smaller birds (12 lb) vs, a giant. 20 lb
Your menu is awesome. Now I am hungry. A smile is a curve that can set a lot of things straight

We use Butterball also, comes out great everytime. Mashed taters, gravy, sweet potato casserole, WILD rice stuffing (my fav), regular stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce. Desert? Pumpkin pie cheesecake and pecan pie. Also a Hungarian apple pastry called Almas Pita. All homemade except the cranberry, I am the only one that likes the homemade stuff, maybe I will make a little batch. Wife cooks the savory with my help and I am the baker.
Next day, grilled turkey sandwiches on sourdough, with bacon, avocado, swiss cheese and a green chili. So so good.

Thanks Trua. Sounds like it. So now Big Bearians will be subjected to billboards that do nothing for the local community but a lot for visitors. Typical. Funny how Dawn Rowe didn't think to share this and her our opinions.
