OK, just manhandled my Big Brown Can out to the street while out in the wet and wind and I can tell you it would have been so much easier and simpler to deal with a couple of regular cans. This was the first week where the weight factor was close to capacity, probably #150-170. Well, here is my summation:

CSD, YOU AND YOUR STUPID BIG BROWN CANS CAN KISS MY A**.

This is so stupid. Can't wait to do this in 10 yrs after getting even older and feebler. Our Public Representatives are like watching a 3 Stooges movie or 'Dumb and Dumber'.

I wonder how it works now with getting the cans to the street with all the snow? Reports, anyone?

We put our black 96-gallon "monster" bin and blue recycle bin right outside our cleared but chained-off driveway, berm removed. CSD came by Saturday morning with their smaller pick-up truck trash trucks and emptied both. No issue, at least for us.

Our trash was not picked up last week. I will not bore everyone with the details when I called CSD. Come to find out the Fing handles were faced the wrong way! What a joke! Now they have two 300lb. Containers to pick up! Going there with my chocolate cream goat poo pie! I was just trying to do a good deed. It would be much easier for them to PULL the containers to the darn hook but NO! Fine! Goat Poo
Pie for you! No more beer and water for you at Christmas! 🤬

SoCalMan, I am looking for a 4x4 option for my Big Brown Turd. Thanks to the snow, ice, slush, and the mud left over from Feb floods that county said were to broke to come clean up, it was a complete [censored] getting that thing out to the street. Couldn't imagine the horror if I was on a slope like up in MR. what a joke.

I actually hate revising this thread BUUTT! Been cleaning up needles a little bit at a time. Just so they can go in with our other trash. Yesterday was windy and it was actually rainy pine needles. Due to the fires we are trying to keep up on them. No more room in the trash can. I am going to contact CSD. I would like to think they would want to help us ALL out but I am pretty sure it will all fall on deaf ears.
We actually bought another can just for the extra stuff. Most of our yard waste is tossed into the truck and hauled to the dump. Just hoping that durning defensible space mode they will help us out! 😃

Very good point KK and an excellent time to make our point. We need a way to maintain the needles and yard waste, even if its another Big Brown Turd but will probably be green so liven up the neighborhood.

I think this is a very good time to talk about this. We're in BBC. One big trash can and a normal size recyclables can. Not nearly enough. We've been trying to limb up trees and rake up needles and such, especially with this fire always in the background. Trash day came this week and the can was stuffed. By the end of that same day the can was already half full again. The only thing that helps is recycling every little bit that I can. And that can tends to be full some weeks too. Only good thing is that if i cut down and flatten boxes and put all into one box the guys will take that too even though it's not in a can.

The recycle guys are great! That is what we do, leave the extra stuff to the side. I was presently surprised that our over stuffed trash cans were picked up! They need to put a plan in place for all the yard waste.

I had to pay someone to haul away all our yard waste. It would have taken years if we could only use the one trash can we were allotted.

Thunderstorms are natural AND the thunder doesn't rumble for as long. Even so I've observed birds and burros both startling and moving after s particularly loud clap of thunder. I'm guessing other less visible wilds react similarly.
