Can you recommend a nice place to dine to celebrate an anniversary? Preferably not full of kiddos. And I love kids and have 4 but you know what I mean.

We used to love North Shore Cafe but took it off our list. Took guests there one night and our meals all tasted & looked like they had been re-heated. Another time the service was so bad we waited over an hour and a half for our server to 1. take our order, 2. bring the salads & 3. bring the main course. We had so many good meals there over the years so kept hoping these were just kinks that needed to be sorted out but the last time we ate there we once again had to wait for over 30 minutes for our server to take our order & then another 45 for our meals. Once again the food was not up to previous standards so we have never gone back. It may be a better choice for breakfast or lunch than dinner.

Oakside is wonderful as is Peppercorn. Both have excellent service and wonderful well prepared food. Just be sure to make reservations!

Is Chef Richard still running North Shore Cafe? Any restaurant can have an off night for a variety of reasons. We have never had a bad experience there for either breakfast or dinner.

We celebrate ours at Sweet Basil every year! Small, intimate, usually only adult diners. Good wine selection too.

We hadn't been to The Pines for quite a while. Just went a few days ago & it was great! Excellent food, presentation & service. Definitely not inexpensive, but perfect for a special occasion or "just because".

Geographically speaking, Boulder Bay is on the west side of Meadow Park. XD

Skypark is indeed getting hammered. Was there last Sunday, crowds were unbelievable. Did two runs & called it day.

What a rotten year to be a ski resort owner. You get shut down in the spring due to COVID while there's still 5 feet of snow on the ground and perfect weather, then again in the fall due to forest closure while there's still a month of good mountain biking weather. I guess that's a gift to Skypark, they're probably getting hammered right now.

Should move the forest closed sign again? They just move it back. Haha.
I have a plethora of giant (3-6 footers) granite boulders I could tractor down, if I had an opening dimension and permission. Hehe, too much work.. and none of my business anyway.

Rocks for sale?
