Oh boy! We just got our first brief power outage near Metcalf Bay and it wasn't even 9:00. Should be an interesting night...

REMINDER POWER OUTAGE
BVES customers (Big Bear Valley) will experience a planned power outage tonight (Mon) at 11:30PM through tomorrow (Tue) at 7:00am.

MAGNITUDE 3.7 EARTHQUAKE. 30 KM SW OF DANA POINT, CA OCCURRED AT 01:22 PM (PST) (20:22:30 UTC). DEPTH = 9 km

The SCE/BVE outage is expected sometime late tonight into early tomorrow morning. You can continue to enjoy your normal activities until late this evening! (Hopefully!)

Just a footnote... the outage window was scheduled to begin at 11:30pm this evening. The SCE website suggests this may have been changed to 2am, but who knows? SCE has been notoriously inaccurate when reporting outage times.

Does anyone have info from Edison about the power outage being cancelled? Rescheduled? Anything? Just sitting here happily enjoying hot tea 🫖

So what happened to our guaranteed power outage thats supposedd to be ongoing til 7 am?
Looks like yet another "fooled you, just kidding"...
