Looking at the picture of the Mitsu accident I'm wondering if the barrels contain the stiff Caltrans sporadic on the roads? That's 3 tricks carrying multiple barrels each means it's a big operation. So either ski areas or CalTrans or maybe BBRWA?

CHP is advising that they have a Hazmat situation at the Major Traffic Accident on SR18 to Lucerne. Advising this will be a LONG TERM CLOSURE of SR18 between Baldwin Lake and Lucerne Valley.
Caltrans has not closed SR18 in the Arctic Circle as of 10am. They are reporting one-way alternating traffic, but it is not closed. CHP was asking earlier if it would be closed and I didn't hear the answer but as of now Arctic Circle is open with controlled traffic.
