Serious question here. I wonder how the vacation rentals are cleaning their inventory? I will see a hoard of people stay next door for several days...big party and lots of drunken shenanagins. Then they check out and when the cleaner comes they spend 20 minutes. Summer will be here soon!

Well I’m not proud to say Chino Hills (my dth city) made the news today. I guess the hoarding of tp and water bottles became a little too much for the shoppers and the police had to be called. .

Can't speak directly for the others in town but with past history I would say that majority of the vacation owners/cleaning crews are doing NOTHING towards this. My crew on the other hand have been made sick numerous times just from regular cleaning. Having the flu 3-4 times a year is no fun. Nothing like pulling the comforter crammed into the washing machine to find it covered with vomit. Soooo, a long time ago our cleaners are supplied with disposable gloves, they have access to good Quality dust masks (at least as long as my supply lasts, could get interesting), and we have a nice supply of lysol which the beds, baths, and surfaces get hit with. BTW strongly recommend reading use instructions. For a long time we were not aware that manufacturer recommends leaving surfaces 'wet' for min 3 minutes before further wiping. Changes the way you clean BIG TIME. Just be diligent, thorough and do what you Mother taught you to do. Wash your hands, don't touch your face, cover your sneezes and coughs, and if you are sick, if at all possible stay the heck home. Follow this and I think the human race will survive this which is just another checkmark on the things that are, were going to wipe us out. Hang in there folks.

Yesterday we made our usual early-in-the-month Costco trip. I had to laugh at the guy who had 10 cases of water stacked on a regular, not flatbed, cart and then was told he could only have two! I sort of understand the run on toilet paper. If you are self-quarantined for 2 weeks, that is sort of an essential you want to have.

To further add to the covid-19 story, it turn out a local middle school has had a student test positive for the virus. One of the neighbor kids attends that school. Guess we won't be over to their house for coffee for a few months!

I hadn’t heard that there was a LA County case of the virus. But now that I’ve looked it up, I realize there are at least 14. Most have come from having traveled to other countries. Juliann Blake

I'm almost out of rice so I stopped at Staters to get some and a few other things on the way home. There was no plain white rice on the shelf, none. I had to settle for a big bag of jasmin rice. Really people, you had to buy ALL the rice! I have Celiac Disease so I go through a lot of rice, but you had to buy every freaking bag! When the hysteria is over what are you gonna do with all that rice huh?
