Nice!

No good deed goes unpunished.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

Where's my kayak!!

What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. It makes me anxious, bitchy, and vulnerable...but nobody wants to see that embroidered on a pillow...Lisa Kogan...thx LXL...sorry i stole it from you! Ok, maybe I'm not sorry :-P

But, it doesn't take long and it'll dry up. I remember one year with an early snow in Big Bear, while the mountains still were snow capped, Lucerne got a downpour and it filled up. Driving by, you got the reflection of the snow peaks of Big Bear in Lake Lucerne - Lucerne Valley actually looked like Lucerne

That disappeared a few years ago, and wasn't there a "No Fishin" sign?

Benny I am amazed at the overnight lows you have in the forecast. I am so ready for some cool crisp air, I am heading up this weekend to enjoy it.

Yeah not Bluecut, we have more of a northerly flow pulling in smoke from the fires to our north; central California fires...

Just another day in the mountains. Blue sky, moderate wind and traffic congestion on the blvd.

The Bluecut Fire is 100% contained. There may be flare-ups and there may be smoke, however prudence and the heads that be for fire control will have to expend resources to protect us until the snow falls or until the Firemen deem that resources can be removed. The same rationale applies to the Pilot Fire. This and all the current fires in California and the West put a severe strain on the resources available. The Firemen are not home and with there families. They are protecting all of us. Let's all give them praise and keep all the Firemen and their families in our thoughts and let them hear our voices.

So how long has the "rock and goat show" banner been on here? Just shows you how I ignore all the ads! Is this also referred to as "the morning show"? lol

Smoke may also be from the Rey Fire near Santa Ynez. That one is one 37% contained. Too many fires!

Good morning all....air quality in the high desert has been terrible since the Blue Cut fire. Visibility is bad in the distance, especially over near Wrightwood, it looks all hazy and white. Had family drive back from Mammoth, they said the air was terrible almost all the way back, very ugly. My sister and I were saying it reminded us of the old Fontana days where we would have "smog alerts", and they always blamed it on Kaiser Steel factory.

The blue cut fire is out.... You mean there is another fire in Kern county ! Omg... That's by Lake Isabella . They just had that awful fire ...

I believe it's smoke from the Cedar Fire in Kern County. I don't think the Blue Cut Fire is putting up much, if any smoke.
