Nice but sad read. Major bummer day for the USA. Although it was a terribly day, The American people came together as one nation and showed love to one another. We live in the worlds greatest Country.Lets not forget that as we will never forget the losses that day. Great day to Pray for everyone that was affected by the loss of a loved one. And a great day to Pray for our Nation.

I don't know how many of you have head this song by Alan Jackson but it describes our feelings that day. He wrote and recorded right after it happened. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Heres a Youtube video of Alan performing it in public for the very first time at that years CMA Awards NEVER FORGET!

@SBCOUNTYFIRE
25 YEARS. 343 FIREFIGHTERS. WE WILL NEVER FORGET

On September 11, 2001, 343 members of the New York City Fire Department made the ultimate sacrifice.

They entered the World Trade Center knowing the danger, driven by one purpose: to save lives. They ran towards the chaos while others were running away. 343 firefighters never returned home.

But the loss did not end that day.

In the years since 9/11, hundreds of additional firefighters and first responders have lost their lives to illnesses connected to the toxic dust and smoke they were exposed to while searching the ruins and serving their communities.

75 FDNY firehouses lost at least one member. Families lost fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and friends. The fire service lost heroes, leaders, brothers, and sisters who answered the call.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their sacrifice and “WE WILL NEVER FORGET”.

This video features four pieces of World Trade Center debris, serving as a lasting reminder of the lives lost and the sacrifices made that day.
