I'm not sure how it classifies as a circus. The circus seems to be when people are going 30 miles an hour and there's 20 cars behind the person that won't pull over. I thought you guys would like having a liberal interpretation. If you really think about it nothing bad happens if I can see way ahead and it's clear. But the societal magnitude of that precious yellow line will discombobulate people's brains.

Hey Springs. Shoot us all a note when you are planning on being on the mountain highways. Thinking most of us would rather not be part of potential circus resulting from liberal interpretation of center yellow line and what is percieved as 'clear' road. Speaking from the passenger seat in this situation. Wasn't fun. And the darn CHP let my partner off with a 'don't do that' warning. I had other words for him

One last thing and I will stop bugging y'all. I don't think all of the head-on crashes are from people trying to pass specifically. I think a lot of them are from people driving crazy on turns and losing control going into the other lane.

F-16 crash on dry lake bed. Pilot survived

We might need to turn out signs in different languages because people drive right past them

If I'm dangerous then let the danger pass or pull over and get out of the way. Or go slow and keep the danger behind you. Very simple.

No one said anything about going on a blind turn. Quite odd how you interpreted that. Just because there is a yellow line doesn't mean it's not safe to pass. If I can see it's clear I will go around. No taxation without representation. I will follow laws that I like. Some man said don't cross the yellow who cares

SpringsWrx- Serious question...you're going to pass someone going 55. Always? Why?

As far as honking horns and getting the finger, well you just have to ignore them

I share your frustration WRX but Art is right.

solid yellow means there is not enough room to safely pass before hitting a blind corner or rise on road to safely merge back into your lane before oncoming traffic suddenly appears. how many headons from doing this have already occurred this year alone?

Us being the slow ones going up the hill(classic vintage squarebody suburbans), we always pull out when safely able to, even if there is only one car behind us. have seen innumerable near hearpns from impatient people trying to pass, most recent idiot almost got into a headon on the thirteen curves, about halfway through

If you're not going 55 I will go around you. The yellow line means nothing ,it is not made of lava. What's with people that honk at you when you go around them. Straight up haters that don't have skills.
