We have lived up here since the early 2000s. Our philosophy has always been to not travel in R2 or R3 conditions. We are older and have 4wd. Recently we have more doctor appts off the hill so we thought we should purchase chais. Our tires are 235/60R18. We want something that is easy to put on in the garage (if going down)l If we were coming up we would probably pay someone to put them on for us. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Too BAD visitors to Staters couldn't do the same:

I didn't stop to ask each of the 4 people who left their carts in the middle of the parking lot where they were from, but blocking 2 spaces at Stater Bros is a perfect example of people that that display poor behavior in Big Bear.

I watched a 4th person walk over to these three carts and left his at the same location.

I left my car and put the carts where they belonged..... about 25' away. Too back visitor to Staters couldn't do the same:

Marshall, it’s easy to understand how hearing residents complain about flatlanders can feel ostracizing or unwelcoming, but I hope you can similarly understand some of the frustrations we face. I think that ”flatlanders” by definition are those that display poor behavior. Please know that if you are not part of problem, then you are just a welcome visitor from DTH (or maybe even a part timer!).
