Grizzly GMama2 hour(s) ago Benny, that certainly makes more sense than dirt and compaction.
Benny ⭐3 hour(s) ago Grizzly Mama, I would actually assume that after they compact dirt and install additional drainage, there will be some form of a bridge there. Otherwise, they would need literally tons and tons of fill to build the mountain back up.
Bearable5 hour(s) ago If they do it right, and provide sufficient drainage, gabion style welded wire contained on site soils would work and be a lot cheaper.
But, the volume of water coming down the hill would need to be built into the design.
Those corregated metal pipes do not appear to be sufficient
Grizzly GMama6 hour(s) ago A question, and maybe WAY off base, but... Would a bridge in that 38 damaged space be faster/less expensive/better, than compacting that much ground to put back a road?
Bearable19 hour(s) ago Re Hwy 38, I see no structural support.
Merely removing landslide debris.
Maybe they will key something in, but those photos are not impressive regarding repair
