That was quite the downpour in the Falls. Had a nice little river going through my front yard for a bit.

Per Scanner: I'm up here at Oak Glen. We've had a major event with a mud flow. We currently have rock mud, logs and debris up over a bridge at Harris and Oak Glen Road. We're going to need to call authorities up here to get some roadblock and I'm going to continue monitoring the area.

*** FLASH FLOOD WARNING *** is in effect for portions of the San Bernardino Mtns/Big Bear area until 515 PM.

Including: Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley, western Big Bear Lake, Hwy 18 between Running Springs and Big Bear, and Fawnskin.

* At 213 PM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly!

Additional storms will impact Forest Falls, Mountain Home Village, Mentone, and the Hwy 38 corridor shortly. Be very careful if traveling into the mountains and watch for areas of flooding and debris down on the roadway!
