When should winds and rain hit? Daughter and kids headed up today and trying to leave ASAP, but do we know when winds and rains are predicted to start?

Due to expected weather, Bear Mountain and Snow Valley will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday and reopen on Friday ( weather permitting). Snow Summit will remain open.

Lets keep our fingers crossed. With recent traffic history I am sure CalTrans expecting at least one idiot to close the front route for at least 6 hours plus potential mud slide there also. Increasing our odds of having a way out of dodge at least for the next 2 weeks or.........

Should we start a pool on when the 38 will be closed again. The rain will just flood it out again since it’s not done yet

⚡NEW EVENT - HIGH WIND WARNING⚡
A High Wind Warning is now in effect from noon Tuesday to 3:00 pm Thursday for the San Bernardino Mtns & High Desert!

A storm system moving into Southern California will produce south winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
Isolated gusts to 75 mph.

* WHERE...Apple and Lucerne Valleys and San Bernardino County
Mountains. Strongest winds along the desert slopes of the
mountains and adjacent desert foothills.

* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 3 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high-profile vehicles.
