A storm system moving into Southern California will produce south winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
Isolated gusts to 75 mph.
* WHERE...Apple and Lucerne Valleys and San Bernardino County
Mountains. Strongest winds along the desert slopes of the
mountains and adjacent desert foothills.
* WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 3 PM PST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high-profile vehicles.

spectr171 day(s) ago On the 38 opening so soon, the contractor i was with said the game changer was fhem having 2 big rock crushers on site. They didnt have to haul dirt up the mtn. A lot of the collapse material was crushed and reused.
He also said they used local material. Imported material has to be sanitized at $300 a ton.
