power is back on (again) here in Moonridge

10:45 AM 10/17: We are aware that some homes in Moonridge continue to experience outage issues. Our crews are working as quickly as possible to restore your area.

Everyone, check your breaker switches. Turn all off then back on except the main. I just did it and now my power is on.

Now it is out again by the zoo

@moco, i’m tempted to agree with you, but the comparison is unfair to the third world.

@Cricket, based on the accent of the woman I spoke with earlier today, I would say the call center is somewhere in the Midwest. Shame on BVES for not informing them about what’s happening here.

OMG power in Moonridge is out AGAIN. Just remember that these are the people who want to increase our electric rates by 1/3.

The power keeps going on and off on and off here in Moonridge! I called because the header on their website said all power has been restored! The woman who was challenged asked for my info SIX times. Who are they hiring in their call center???

Just as I posted my last comment, the power came back on in Moonridge. Let’s hope it stays on.

In announcing this planned outage overnight, BVES yesterday actually did provide a good amount of detail on what they expected to happen. But this morning they can’t seem to keep up with what’s actually happening in their public posts. It’s now been 50 minutes since the power was on briefly and then went off again. We can only hope somebody at BVES actually knows what’s going on right now. It’s deeply frustrating.

Unfortunately there web site states that power is restored and their phone service is overloaded. We rely on their system text and their website for updates but neither are functioning as expected.
As many here can state that the power came on for a brief moment then back off. The estimated time was not correct. I think the patience of a customers would tolerate everything if the information was more accurate towards their customers.

I just spoke with a very nice lady with BVES’s outside calling service.. She was very nice and helpful but had no clue about what was going on. I had to explain everything to her. She said she would report what I said to BVES, but of course they know that already. 😁

So "technically" they didn't lie: The power came in at 9:00 then...well...
