SCM ALERT🚨16 hour(s) ago As of 8:06 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, SCE has indicated that it is likely to de-energize the primary transmission lines serving Big Bear Valley within the next four hours due to wind-driven fire conditions. These conditions are expected to continue through Tuesday morning, September 1.
If the lines are de-energized, BVES will have very limited capacity, and some or all customers may experience an extended outage. Customers should prepare now and continue monitoring BVES communications for updates.
