Deborahavas6 hour(s) ago Airport Razz. I heard Supervisor Rowe would fund support a clean bear site but of course CSDBB says they don’t have a place for it anywhere. Crazy times up here.
Deborahavas6 hour(s) ago Thank you Airport Razz. When we take walks we read those little red tickets. One guy got one for Having his trash can too close to The others. Another one said you “can’t” put store plastic bags in the recycle. It was so funny cause there were only 3 little empty bags in the can with a red note. This is just outrageous.
Hank16 hour(s) ago Our choice for donations is DOVES of Big Bear Valley - 217 W Big Bear Blvd in Big Bear City
Mooselover202017 hour(s) ago Hey everyone, looking for the best place to donate clothes? Will take them down the hill even if someone knows of a good women’s shelter? Thanks!
SCM ALERT🚨20 hour(s) ago (SR18 closure below is near Boulder Bay - if heading to SR18 Arctic Circle a good alternate is North Shore Highway 38).
SCM ALERT🚨20 hour(s) ago CALTRANS UPDATE: SBCO: All lanes closed SR-18 both directions from Tulip Lane to Iris Drive in Big Bear for emergency work! Seek alternate routes. Unknown duration to clear. #Caltrans8 [Click Here] December 05, 2024 at 07:16AM
mountainart1 day(s) ago main transmission lines are at capacity. would need to add more corridors. that is already being litigated by none other than eco types. not to mention eminent domain lawsuits projected to draw out any new line proposals years/decades.
Airport Razz2 day(s) ago Hey CSDBB. Instead of coming around and inspecting everyones trash bins that are put out and giving a 'report card' because no one understands the difficult requirements of what goes where, what gets bagged and the fireplace ash proceedure is just STUPID. How about giving the county residents a bloody CLEAN BEAR site that we CAN USE?????????
Trail Rider2 day(s) ago Thanks AR, follow the money, right.
Airport Razz2 day(s) ago That was the big problem when the EV push started was the fact that the eletrical grid infrastructure couldn't handle current needs then requiring rolling blackouts throughout the cities. None of the infrastructure has really been upgraded other than a lot of power poles but the major tranmission lines are ancient so until they fix that, yes we wil pay through the nose. Thanks again PUC for NOTHING
Trail Rider2 day(s) ago Marty, thanks for posting solar article. There was a follow up article that stated problem is a transmission/distribution line issue and until the folks in charge put money into fixing that to better serve CA customers we will pay high prices for power while the power companies make lots of cash. At least that's what I got from the article.
Marty2 day(s) ago Here's the solar power article, sourced from the LA Times... [Click Here]
Trail Rider2 day(s) ago Thanks for the info Debora I wonder if we could get a copy of that article?
Deborahavas2 day(s) ago The LA Times: Solar power glut boosts California electric bills. Other states reap the benefits
Deborahavas2 day(s) ago There was a very good article in the Los Angeles Times last week about the over use of solar projects. It stated that most solar panel projects are being used to make money not needed or actually being used. They also said that we have too many solar projects and “we have to pay” to ship that electric out of state. Hope this project does not go forward. Thanks for listening.
