New Space Launch date

looks like SpaceX may have a date of Nov 10th for the launch of the Jason 3 Satellite from Vandenberg. I think this one is planned to a landing back at the launch complex. Quite the show with the double sonic booms! Space geeks might get a real show from the mountains with a west view! I was there for the first landing back at Vandy and it was amazing.

This was my view - (but not my video) of the SAOCOM1A launch that returned for the first landing. I was about 4 people away from the guy that filmed this, me taking still images. Turn the sound up - at 4.5 miles - it's already closer than most any Florida location.

A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch tomorrow evening (November 17) at 8:39 p.m. PST from Vandenberg SFB, Calif.

This will be visible from the Big Bear Valley.

The rocket will probably parallel the coast as it heads towards the south-southeast. Weather permitting, the bright orange flame from the rocket may be visible to the unaided eye for hundreds of miles (possibly as far away as Sacramento, Calif.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and Kingman, Ariz.).
