Big Bear Theater, Cinemascope and stereophonic sound

Hi! I see by a photo someone posted that the BB Theater did convert to Cinemascope in the 1950s. Does anyone recall seeing wide-screen films there and does anyone know whether or not the theater added stereophonic sound when they converted to Cinemascope?
