SCM ALERT🚨, Thu Aug 02 2018, 05:05PM

SAN BERNARDINO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is beginning a project to mill and overlay current pavement and improve American Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps on State Route 38 (SR-38) between Agate Street in Mentone to Valley of the Falls Drive, Forest Falls (post mile 15). The $4.9 million project, which was awarded to All American Asphalt, began on August 1, 2018, with the contractor mobilizing equipment and placing signage. Lane reductions will start on August 20, 2018. The project is expected to be completed in late 2018.

During the project there will be lane closures with flagging operations, as needed. One lane will remain open in each direction during work hours. Motorists may expect delays due to one-way traffic control and occasional, short-term, moving lane closures between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
