For the old timers of Big Bear I pass along Vern Thompson W6ZJU became a silent key this last Thursday.
He was 89 when he passed. He ran the radio station up here for a long time and had the 2 meter repeater 147.330
at Bear Mountain before he went to Virginia.

Just saw this. Ton of memories. Can't remember the first time I used the repeater. It probably was in the early to mid 70's.
