Someone has lost a horse someone in the lower communitess. i think *( not sure where this horse came frombut its hanging out near Snoe Valley off 2n07 one of the SVPatroller has been kind enought to help us try to catch this horse but not yet. The horse is very scared and skittish won`t let anyone near it.. Animal control was called out 2 times last nite. but they were not able to make it up the mountain. The second call Animal Control was heading down the mountain to get hooked up with a trailer to come back here but then when the horse moved off into the forest AC decided to keep the trailer down at the bottom of the mountain.. There was heavy fog from lower communites to Running Springs last nite..

I am hoping mabe someone that is up in the lookout towers might be able to see her and report in to chp or even me. I am 366-0329
Friends went out last nite about 11pm to see if they could find her.. but they did put out hay for her
all day yesterday she was up and down snow valley area we feel today if she gets thristy she might head back to where the water is near snow valley enterance..
there is a person goes by the name of BUCKU that is heading out there this morning to see if he or she can locate this horse..
i heard the call come over the scanner earlier in the day
we feel somoene is either off the mountain and doesnt know about this yet.. possibly ran off due to the extreme weather we had on wed.. i have no clue how long she has been out there..
Chp was out there near snow valley untill about 10pm and she told friends that the horse is in good shape
so if anyone knows of anyone down in the lower communites even up here manbe that has lost a horse please contact us on rim or call me.. so i can relay info

update - donna aka svpatroller has found the water bucket she placed there either last nite or this morning and she has found fresh hoof prints tracts that she is following.. thanks for you help very much appreciated

update this horse is staying close to snow valley lake this is where the caretaker and donna aka svpatroller have found the hoof prints that have led them to this area. from what donna said the horse has been hanging in this area for quite a while, * makes me wonder how long this horse has been out there *
trying to coordinate the snow valley caretaker that knows the trails with another couple of people to take hay out to this area,, mabe be able to catch her this way .. I dont know if animal control would be able to head out there now or not,, still trying

update - friends have taken hay to snow valley met up with the care taker from snow valley they are enoute to the area where the horse was last seen near the lake thats it for now ..

update * i just talked to kathy of Los Vaquero up here and she said she would try to get some people together to head up there tomorrow and bring this horse to a safe place.. she is also going to call donna svpatroller to contact the caretaker of snow valley so he can lead the rest of the los Vaqueros team in to rope this horse.. things are looking up..

update * donna from snow vally has just come back in they were up where the horse was today,, and have left water and hay for the horse,, kathy from los vaqueros will be in touch with donnna from snow valley and bwt both of them things are looking up.. have a great nite and more updates as info comes in .. rest easy..

update.. horse is still in the snow valley area and mtnmom from rim has 2 horses that she will be taking up in the area of where the loose horse is hoping that the loose horse will follow her own horses back to mtnmons corral.. then this would be a good ending..
los vaqueros kathy a member was suppose to get into touch with her team of ropers to also head out but n the mean time kathy was given the number to donna aka svpatroller for updates on where this horse was last seen.. so untill something more happens this is the latest...
Scanner should be back now. Wow, what a process. I was anticipating a couple hours, however, it took about 4 hours Please PM me if you are having any issues with the site or the scanner. Lots of things went wrong during the upgrade (what else is new)??
firephoto, I use that among other's & l always resort back to the local guy. Will be fun to see who gets it right. We sleep outside, year around....20deg might make us snuggle closer! lol
