Please correct me if I’m not calculating this correctly.
In the numbers above it says 16+10 on July 7. Since July 10 to now July 13 we have 5 more.

Be careful out there.

I was advised by my doctor's office yesterday that tests are available locally only with significant symptoms and a doctor's referral.

Otherwise, get on the county web site and try to get an appointment in Apple Valley or elsewhere.

Who is driving that far to get tested? Thus, I infer that the new cases likely are from people obviously sick, and does not include those mildly symptomatic, asymptomatic, or those possibly exposed. My question then: how many more have it and haven't been tested?

City of BBL updates.

San Bernardino County reported 5 new COVID-19 cases for the Big Bear Valley this past weekend and today.

According to the latest data from San Bernardino County, there have now been a total of 19 confirmed cases in the Big Bear Valley since early May, and a total of 14 new cases in just the past 12 days. A total of 9 confirmed cases were reported between mid-March and early May, and it is believed that all of these cases have now recovered. Including these earlier cases, the total cumulative case count now includes 18 reported cases in the City of Big Bear Lake and 10 in unincorporated areas (28 total cases). Thankfully, there have been no deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the Big Bear Valley.

COVID testing is available four days a week at MCH in Lake Arrowhead. Doesn't say anything about having to have a prescription, just two of the listed (very general) symptoms and an appointment.

At last night's city council meeting, city manager Frank Rush stated that he knew of one local business that had voluntarily closed due to Covid-19 issues. Realtor Dana Profet spoke, said he was aware of two, but neither would name the businesses. Shouldn't this info be shared with full-time residents, many of whom are in the most susceptible category?

Heck, as kids we'd shoot each other with pistol BB guns. Just not in the face. Agreed, fun with cans or squirrels only if your going to eat it. Never have tasted squirrel yet, hope I don't need to.
