Seems as though the "updates" at the resorts were continuous throughout the summer.

Any info from those in the know as to what is new to see and do come the ski season?

We're on the countdown to the posted opening dates with fingers crossed.

Bear Mountain is building a new children's learning center. very exciting. no small undertaking
been on the wish list for many of us for over 30 years. lots of under ground improvements at both resorts. and new roofs that where way over due. drain improvements .

They say eagles pant like dogs through their mouth for no sweat glands but it’s strange because it’s not hot out?

Anyone know what is wrong with Jackie? She keeps her mouth open and is panting, but not making any sounds.

Razz you have to go look at the chat on facebook, it's identical to the problems we've had for years. People complaining about the city, no traffic plan, randomly closed roads, it's pretty comical actually.

Happy birthday, Craig! All of our lives are so much better having you in them! Love you to the moon and back!

Don't forget Razz; here in Bear Valley the visitors enrich our lives and sustain our economy. Without them, none of us would have jobs, houses, food, cars, or anything resembling a life.

Or so I'm told.

Anyone else finding it ironic that access to the poppy areas are being restricted because of too many people, abuse of the landscape, massive amount of trash left behind. Sound familiar? At least their government officials have some moxie to think about the locals and take steps to protect them. Unlike somewhere else I know of.
