I remember once, just finished shoveling the driveway, car very visible, plow comes around the corner and throws up a nice big berm. At least I was still dressed to shovel and take care of it before it turned to a solid wall of ice.

What is the logic behind the plows? Do you clear the roads so that they are usable but put up a berm so that you can't get out on the road

Seriously, while the roads are plowed, they also spread gravel on the plowed surface. Good move as I live on a BBC hillside, otherwise they are just exposing the ice. Curves, grades, and intersections can all use some gravel.

What are the routes/priorites for the plows? I would assume it is the major roads first, access for emergency vehicles and hospital. Does anyone really know?

I have loved the fact that we have a LEO and high-ranking fire officer that are near us, so we always think that is why our road is usually plowed "fairly early."

Interestingly, Bruin Trail in Fawnskin is a primary road, but all of the roads to Bruin Trail are secondary!

Is it felony to hit a condor? Or just an eagle? Seriously, if we can't laugh at our typos or autocorrect, life wouldn't be as much fun.

Welcome TomTom! No, shouldn't have much ice around. But sometimes the street bikes hit a patch of conders, that can be slippery!

I'm a newbie to the site, Hi,

I noticed a biker went down yesterday, is there any ice or snow on 330, 18 or 38 today which could be a hazard to motorcyclists? Saw the alert about rocks!

Thx,
Tom
