In 1930 there was an organization known as the Big Bear Pageant Association. They put on only one pageant during the Fourth of July weekend which was titled "NevertheLess Old Glory" It was based on Stephen Chalmers novel "Take a Chance Tamarlane". The event was held at the newly constructed Moonridge Bowl. Does anyone have any information on this event and in particular does anyone have any conclusive information on where this bowl was located?

There has been a lot of guessing on its location. There are photos of the cast at Andy divine's now known as captains anchorage and at the time moonridge ski resort would have fit the bowl Topo graphical needs. So I believe it may have been near there some where from rock spray that was part of the resort to club view

Does anyone have any information on the original Moonridge Golf Course clubhouse. Ihave seen pastcards of the clubhouse. I was wondering if anyone knows when the original club house burned down or was torn down.

I have this panoramic photograph of the cast of the Big Bear Pageant cast that was taken on July 4th of 1930. From a copy of the cast list I see that William, Harold and Florence Knickerbocker were in the cast. Dennis Knickerbocker can you identify any of them in this photograph?

Richard I'm sorry it took me so long. I can't find a lot of m pictures of them at this point in town. And the fact that they are in their acting mode I am sure the one guy is Grandpa, and pretty sure the girl is my Aunt. I have two guys that could be my dad. One is his happy face and the other is his angry face. It is a remarkable picture. I would think there are almost as many people in the play as there are watching it. My guess is somewhere around the entrance to the zoo or even further up the canyon from the looks of it. If my pictures turn up I'll compare them.

For comparison, Crestline (nearest official particulate monitor) has recorded a mere 5 days of "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups". Ozone is a different story...

Mammoth Lakes has had over 10 days of "Hazardous" air quality. It's had an additional 25 days of "Very Unhealthy" and 40 days of "Unhealthy". Basically an entire season of astronomically bad air quality.
