There are two new (well, not new, but much improved) web cams in the Big Bear Valley!

Roger (Cammy) and R (Lumber Jill) have upgraded their Fawnskin Camera to a higher res 720p model. It really is a nice shot!
Link: [Click Here]
Thank you Cammy and R!

Ben (Benny - our faithful meterologist who runs a lot of really nice cams in the valley) has upgraded his Baldwin Lake CAM from a 720p model to a 1080p model. The difference looks quite impressive.

Thank you Benny!

they are beautiful Amazing how far they have come. I think the KTLA cam at the top of summit was the first and I watched the news hoping they would show it. of course it wasn't live streaming then Now thanks to Benny and socal , and the fawnskin cam we can watch almost all of the valley . I always wanted to have a house with a giant TV that looked like a window so I could live anywhere I wanted, anytime I wanted

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Thanks BG, only one we're really missing is over on Bertha Peak viewing back across the valley from the north side, which is in the works....

that would be a great one. Hope it will be 360 degree. I can think of a couple more butler and onyx but they might be hard but with them You could not only cover anything in the valley but large part of the desert as well. Of course we would need perfectly clear weather like today but even with the few bad days there is no place better. I hope the chamber kicks in a few bucks you probably do more to promote the valley then most of the things they back.

I want to thank Ben for the upgraded cam at our place! The new one sure is a lot more clear than the old one was. And since it's an outdoor cam, I was able to position it to get a better view than my old one had. Also, the Fawnskin cam is now updating every minute, like Ben's other cams are.

Yeah Christopher a couple things, the merger was an April fools joke so I doubt anyone knew abought it earlier this week. We have no plans to do night skiing at Bear. We thought about it maybe 20 years ago, but it didn't really make sense then and certainly doesn't now.

I have a friend who works for Vail Resorts... and she told me about the merger earlier this week. She also told me night boarding is coming to Bear Mtn WITH MUSIC. They're planning to put speakers on the lift towers. People in Moonridge are going to love that.

Hey, there are a lot of great cams out there and Benny is key in putting a lot of them out there. The eagle cam has a really good view of the valley. If I win the snowpool, the $ goes to the robot. The true value is the lifetime membership to SCM!
