That's unfortunate, further south most areas saw between .40-.75 inches Should be a nice afternoon on the plateau later this afternoon when it stops raining here in Murrieta (still hasn't this morning) with plenty of streams rushing(the plateau as of this moment has gotten .86" of rain so far and it continues to fall. Of course if island affect showers keep setting up over he plateau i may not be going lol. Had a pretty awesome light show around 5am this morning also, woke up most people in my community by setting off car alarms Thee low just swung a tad further south then some computer shad indicated, i stated the possibility of this in my forecast saying rain amounts could be significantly higher in San Diego county then areas to the north and east. This system was probably the second most exciting storm of the season for where im at, the last one was actually the best because we had thunderstorms multiple times in the day. If this is the last significant storm of the season, it didn't let me down Also just another interesting side note which always keeps me interested in mircro climates in our region, the Temecula Valley region(south west riverside county) is one of the only areas in the state that has actually seen 70-90% of its normal rainfall this season while a majority of the rest of Sp Cal has only seen 40-60%. The hills are green nd full of flowers down here, but as soon as you travel north of Lake Elsinore its all dead and dry lol For Accurate Regional Forecast Go to:http://www.socalweather.net

Is this why we got less rain than we were thinking we'd get? Ben? COCO?
Partially, but also when the cold front came through your region up there, it began to side step and got mroe elongated from west to east instead of South-North further south. This greatly limited your rainfall since winds started coming more out of the south east instead of south/south west, For Accurate Regional Forecast Go to:http://www.socalweather.net
