On Sunday, R and I went to check on Jack, the baby Bald Eagle [Click Here] and we saw him hangin out on his nest. But even more entertaining was what we're guessing were his 2 parents soaring over Grout Bay! They were circling below a 3rd adult Bald Eagle but I never could get all 3 of them in one picture. Here's a photo of the 2 soaring together:
After seeing the 4 eagles on Sunday, R and I went to Silverwood Lake yesterday. We took a walk across the dam and on our way back, this Bald Eagle flew low over us!
The cool thing about seeing these 5 eagles the past 2 days is that I gotta believe that, at this time of year, they're not looking to head north any time soon, (they would have already gone if they were going to) meaning they'll be in our local mountains throughout the Summer!
More eagles! Actually, I think this is the same eagle. We were sitting out on the deck at our cabin this afternoon with Frigg, Oden & Vidar, when R looked up and saw the eagle the first time and then I spotted it again about an hour later. This is the first time we've seen bald eagles flying over our place! But it makes us wonder.... how often does this happen and we miss it?

I guess they came looking for you this time... " A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking real money" -attributed to Everett Dirksen

We have sat on our back deck and watched them a lot last year, if as you say there are 3 to 5 around here we hope to see them all summer!! i love living up here. I don’t need your attitude thanks, I have one of my own!
