If I remember correctly, we had snow in Fawnskin on Memorial Day weekend two years ago. Just sayin.
I'm not sure about Memorial day, but it snowed 2 1/2" in Cactus flats on Sunday May 20 2010. Don't ask me how I know nothing in life is free, it ain't about easy it's about tough

I give it a 10% chance that a 50% chance of a 70% chance will make the forecast of a possible 25% chance
What's the math look like on this?

Yep you are correct but it was about 3 years ago or so. I was volunteering for the forest service in the SGW when it happened For Accurate Regional Forecast Go to:http://www.socalweather.net
Last year, I recorded a quarter inch of snow on May 9, snow flurries on May 15 & 18, with a light dusting of snow on May 29. In 2010, I recorded 4 1/4 inches of snow on May 23rd. I didn't record any snow in May of 2009. And on May 22, 2008, I recorded 1 inch of snow. This is all at my cabin in Fawnskin.
If I remember correctly, we also had snow in May of 2006. But I wasn't keeping snow records then so I can't give you specifics.

Its a bit early, but the storm for next Thursday is looking pretty potent at this time. Looks like a drencher with strong tropical moisture tap, suppose we could all use the rain. For Accurate Regional Forecast Go to:http://www.socalweather.net
