A close friend of mine lost his battle with cancer yesterday. I'm just devastated! I got a call at 7am this morning and didn't answer the phone because I needed coffee in me. It was a friend of the Doobie Brothers. I was hoping he butt called me. Then my phone rang again 5 min. later by someone else who is a friend as well and as I saw the name on my phone I started crying because I just knew it was bad news.
Rest in peace Big Mike! You are no longer in pain my friend. We will always love and miss you!

7 years ago Keith Knudsen (drummer) of the Doobies died of pneumonia. We were very close friends. His wife gave me his beloved buckskin horse Tucker after he passed away. When I went out to feed this morning, all I could do was hug Tucker and cry for both of these special guys in my life. Tucker totally consoled me. It was a sweet moment. That horse is so smart! He knows when I'm having a hard time.
It is so hard to loose someone you love. Take peace in knowing he is no longer in pain and will live on in your heart. Take care of yourself. Time will soften your pain. What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. It makes me anxious, bitchy, and vulnerable...but nobody wants to see that embroidered on a pillow...Lisa Kogan...thx LXL...sorry i stole it from you! So lets see- kids were in a tree building a fort, dropped a hammer, hit Goat in the face which caused him to crash into a camp fire where they were making fajitas thus burning his hand and getting fajita all over his shirt! Does that explain it?
