I found my scanner in storage and I haven't used it in over 2 years. Fortunately I use nothing but rechargeable batteries so I just had to charge them up to be able to use it. I was told by the local public access TV station that the frequency range for wireless microphones is 518-542MHz and ߢ!($*&@ it! My scanner won't accept it. I'm going to Disneyland Feb 29 and I want to be able to tune into the instructor's microphone for the Jedi Training Academy. Are there any scanners that accept these frequencies?

On a completely different ♪, I found a cool website for the frequencies used by the Pacific Surfliner [Click Here]

Well I guess I'll just sit here and blow up then, shall I?

Kinda late, but the So Cal Freq Dir has the wireless mic freq's for several of the venues. I don't recall them being in that range. I'll check when I get a chance.

BTW, if you have access to a really cheap old scanner, try listening to the image frequency. If the signal is strong enough, and image rejection is bad enough, it works.

Thanks ATL, but I'm not really the backpacking type - too heavy of a pack. Several years ago I hiked Mt. Whitney in a day. About a month later, I backpacked up to Dollar Lake & then went to the top of Gorgonio the next day. That overnight trip seemed more difficult to me than the day hike on Whitney.

It woke me up. We rarely feel them in our house but this one was a pretty good shake. Must've been fairly shallow. Anyone else feel it?
