Benny and I must have seen the same episode of Columbo where the the guy was stabbed with an icicle and then thrown in the pool to destroy the evidence.

The ice is horrible on your roof. Never heard of anyone being hurt by an icicle, but I don't doubt it could happen.

I took care of a guy who had a skull fracture and a very nasty cut on his head from an icicle that fell on him.

Here's another thing to think about. I have seen parents giving their kids icicles they have cracked off from the eves....just think of what was on the roof...dirt and asphalt!

That certainly can help cronic icicles but they will also form on perfectly insulated roofs as the sun heats snow covered roofs, if the air temp is below freezing.

What doesn't kill me does NOT make me stronger. It makes me anxious, bitchy, and vulnerable...but nobody wants to see that embroidered on a pillow...Lisa Kogan...thx LXL...sorry i stole it from you! Ok, maybe I'm not sorry :-P

Death tolls have been reduced...24 including 7 children. Tragic but an important reminder that accurate information takes time
