And today is the fifth year anniversery of the Esperanza Fire which killed five firefighters. many might think the fire season is over but many of our worst fires began this time of the year when the winds pick up. Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Listening now. Very chilling..... No good deed goes unpunished.
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.
Wow. I almost started crying when you said you were closing down the command post. How long of a period of time were these transmissions recorded? No good deed goes unpunished.

Pretty intense stuff for sure. The scanner clips cover Saturday October 25, 2003 just after the fire started through Wednesday October 29th when I left the mountain. The Big Bear Evac order went out early Tuesday, October 28th. WINTER IS OVER AND SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!
We had put an offer in on a house before it started and didn't get that house, then just after it was done we found the cabin that was on this lot. Yes scary time I don’t need your attitude thanks, I have one of my own!
The day the Old Fire started, I was sitting in my weekend class at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa. But I have no idea what was going on in class that day because the Old Fire had broken out earlier in the day. As soon as class was over I quickly got over to the fire to see what was going on.

Also from the 30 (now 210) freeway
Looking northwest over Highland, I believe I was south of 5th street where the Lowes shopping center is now
