Obama is currently in his fifth year of campaigning and speechmaking, which is considerably easier than being president. All it takes is a good writer, a teleprompter, a few lies and the ability to cry “wolf” every month or so.

The werewolf is one of my favorites. And this is a great copy. It shows town from almost every angle as it was in the 50's. I have almost every shooting location figured out. But there are still a few I still need to work on. The others have some great views of the area. And of course shepard of the hills can't be beat.
Thanks 3N16 great work as always Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

When I was a kid it seemed they were always up here filming. Funny it all but stoped when the city became involved in it. A lot of money was pumped into the economy by the film crews. I would really like to see the last one on your list. I saw one awhile back where they were hunting a sbar tooth tiger, and it ended at the Baldwin mine. Night of the Grizzly was one of the last to have be of good quality filned almost entirely in the valley. Several Bonnanza, perry mason's, Barnaby Jones, and many other T,V, series including a couple of McGiver's used the valley Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

They had a golf game that ran through the moonridge course then played through the forest and ended doing the course in Yucca valley. I didn't kmow they filmed it. That would be something to see.
bookworm. As you go through it you will probably recognize much of it. Most of the houses they used are still around and look very much the same. And the jail in the movie is the old jail behind the old fire station. Before they added the court house that many will remember The backgrounds are wonderful and the ending couldn't be any better. That would be something to see. I think it was on ABC's Wide World of Sports and if I remember correctly most of the footage was from a helicopter.
Just finished watching the end of The Werewolf. Amazing that they didn't burn the town down.

When I was 10 or 11 a couple of us "Boulder Bay" kids would hike up to Cedar L. and watch them make films ('52 or '53?)... westerns, but I can't remember which ... anyway, we were "shocked" to find out how fake it all was! I also recall a caretaker geezer who used to run us off at the point of a shotgun!
Happy 35th anniversary to my wonderful wife Kimberly. It seems like only yesterday. Alas, three beautiful daughters, three perky grandkids, what more could a guy ask for.
Thanks ATL, but I'm not really the backpacking type - too heavy of a pack. Several years ago I hiked Mt. Whitney in a day. About a month later, I backpacked up to Dollar Lake & then went to the top of Gorgonio the next day. That overnight trip seemed more difficult to me than the day hike on Whitney.
