The emotes are not working for me in the threads. I can use them with the chat box. Any ideas why this is happening? We just updated our Mac software, so it may be a setting I haven't found yet.

No problem on my Mac, Deb. But I'm still at 10.6.7. I'm assuming you upgraded to Lion (10.7)? (Actually, I like bkap's answer better).
