Iluminato Italiano? How pretentious is that? In Ron's video the term "upscale" was used several times. How scary is that?
Last night I tried their angel hair pasta with marinara sauce and meatballs. Fourteen bucks. No salad, but a pizza dough bread with a tomato sauce for dipping was included.
No distinctive or compelling flavors to justify ordering this entree again. Meatballs were a bore. I'll give this dish two stars out of five.

Fourteen bucks for some spaghetti with meatballs?!? No thanks, at that price, it should come sprinkled with gold dust. Looks like another soon-to-be-former restaurant.

if they can't make a good meatball, they won't last long. But I will give them a try so I can have my own opinion I don’t need your attitude thanks, I have one of my own!

Yeah, it's a hard road for Big Bear restaurants serving food with upscale pricing for the transient tourist trade rather than trying to develop local loyalty with tasty food at reasonable prices.
If I could afford it, I'd try other menu items at Illuminato to see if any of it is inspired. I don't think there's an authentic Italian cook/chef involved with the restaurant, however.
I'll wait for others to give the place a try and post opinions.
