First of all, I want to thank you all for being here on SCM. I am outlying some changes to SCM below and I apologize for not getting to this in a timely manner (I have been far to busy working and playing)

During the phase of the politics forum, things got completely out of hand and that is why it was removed and political discussions were banned. This ban has been removed. We want to keep this site open to any discussion while adhering to the new Rules (or Terms of Service 'TOS'). Please review these rules and refer to them when interacting here on SCM (see below).

The colors of staff (moderators, transcribers, reporters) has been removed from the Online list. The colors served a purpose in the past, however, they really do not serve a purpose today. Moderating this site will be done from a single account "scmadmin" from this point forward. The staff that volunteer here are not changing, however, the way the staff addresses issues has.

We are planning on updating the forums on SCM and adding some unique new features. What new forums would be beneficial to the SCM community? What forums can we lose? What new features would you like to see? We would love to hear your input here! This is YOUR community!

Thank you all again, and I look forward to seeing you here on SCM.

==============

NEW RULES OF CONDUCT (TOS)

We implore you to discuss any topic of interest, however, any discussion must be kept clean and civil. Please use common sense as anything you say or do carries consequences with it. If you find yourself questioning the nature of what you're going to post, then it's probably not safe to post it.

Material that is knowingly defamatory, illegal, abusive, threatening or harassing, is strictly prohibited. As with anything, you, as a member, should use good common sense when posting. Posts containing personal attacks on another user will be edited or deleted with no warning or consent and potentially your account could be suspended.

Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene is not permitted here. Topics/posts containing such will be deleted on sight. If you violate this rule, your account may be automatically suspended without prior warning.

It is important that members recognize the real-time nature of these forums. The moderators cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages. As such, we depend upon you to inform them when members are violating the rules. You must also recognize that they cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.

To report a post, use the REPORT THIS POST button on the top right above the message in question.

Craig, thank you for posting this and hope that you keep in mind that you will need to add do's and don'ts as we move thru time and things get posted that are on the edge of the now rules.

In the time that the political area has been shut down I've noticed that the site has become more friendly again, I like it this way and hope it stays here, I know it will drift and turn but I can hope it remains on course.

I know some people were unhappy and some said things that are not for everybody to hear/read but hope they too are allowed back to try and be members again.

anyway Thanks for hosting one of the best sites I frequent.

I don’t need your attitude thanks, I have one of my own!

Gosh, does this mean the SCM Morning Tickles and Giggles Club will cease to exist? I loved paging back threw chat after I finally roll out of bed around 8 am. and reading what they are saying? Will the Girls Night Out and the Twinkies and Ho, Ho's be banned also? How about what happens in Chat stays in Chat? You know as long as it is not really bad and just in fun!!!

Wait, we had a political Forum?

No good deed goes unpunished.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

Good luck reviving the Political Forum. Please keep the morning Tickles and Giggles club. I need something good to read on the train to work.

Let me publicly state that I am happy politics and related subjects will be once again allowed on this site. When it was banned some time ago I did not get to read what was said that was so bad that the discussions had to cease. Oh well, not important, I hope we can all discuss future talks without arguing.

a bit late to the party.. you don't need the waiver to ride the sky chair if you are walking. Only bike riders need the waiver. The walk down is a different path this year and steeper.
